our favorite pancakes


this is a recipe i've fiddled with a little bit over the years, and is usually what the kids ask for every morning for breakfast! i use a griddle that makes about 9 at a time, with one ladle-full of batter per pancake, so if you make them bigger or smaller of course the yield will be different.

  1. 1
  2. In a large bowl
  3. Sift together the flour
  4. Baking powder
  5. Salt and sugar
  6. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk
  7. Egg and melted butter
  8. Mix until smooth

  10. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat
  11. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle
  12. Using approximately 1 / 4 cup for each pancake
  13. Brown on both sides and serve hot
