i love these muffins and when i found this copykat.com recipe for them i knew i had to post this for safe keeping.

Steps

  1. Mix flour
  2. Salt
  3. Baking soda and baking powder in a bowl and set aside
  4. In mixing bowl beat softened butter
  5. Oil and sugar until blended
  6. Add eggs
  7. Vanilla
  8. Almond extract and sour cream to butter and oil
  9. Blend until mixture is smooth
  10. All moist ingredients should be blended well
  11. Start adding the flour mixture to batter a little at a time until thoroughly blended but do not overmix
  12. When mixed
  13. Remove from mixer and add poppy seeds
  14. Stir with a spoon until completely mixed through
  15. Place in muffin cups
  16. Filling to 3 / 4 full
  17. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 20-25 minutes
  18. Check muffins with a toothpick
  19. Do not overbake
  20. Store in sealed container
