  1. Cook orzo in plenty of boiling water with 1 / 2 tsp tumeric added for 8-10 minutes or al dente
  2. Drain and set aside to cool
  3. Preheat oven to 350f
  4. Cut carrots in half lengthwise then slice on the diagonal into 1 / 2" thick pieces
  5. Place in a roasting pan
  6. Drizzle with a little oil
  7. Sprinkle with spices and toss to coat evenly
  8. Roast for 30 minutes
  9. Remove and allow to cool
  10. Mix orzo
  11. Carrots
  12. Currants
  13. Pinenuts
  14. C8i and vinegar together well
  15. Season to taste with salt and pepper
  16. Serve hot as an accompaniment or cold as a salad
