orzo risotto

  • Carbohydrates: 384.6

  1. In a 3-quart saucepan
  2. Melt the butter over medium heat and cook garlic until almost golden
  3. Add the orzo and stir until coated with butter
  4. Stir in onion soup mix that has been blended with water
  5. Bring to a boil over high heat
  6. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered 8 minutes
  7. Stir in milk and peas and simmer
  8. Stirring frequently
  9. Until heated through
  10. About 1 minute
  11. Stir in the cheese
  12. Serve immediately
  13. Makes about 4 cups
