oriental style marinated flank steak


this is a great marinade for a flavourful steak. don't be afraid to try this marinade on other cuts of meat and chicken too!

  1. In a blender
  2. Blend together oils
  3. Sugar
  4. Soy
  5. Vinegar
  6. Scallions
  7. Ginger
  8. Garlic
  9. Lemon juice
  10. Pepper flakes and cup water until smooth
  11. In a shallow dish
  12. Pour marinade over steak
  13. Turning to coat well
  14. Let steak marinate
  15. Covered and chilled
  16. Overnight
  17. Discard marinade
  18. Grill steak on an oiled rack set about 4 inches over coals for 5-6 minutes on each side for medium-rare meat and transfer to a cutting board
  19. Let steak stand 10 minutes and slice thin across the grain
