Steps

  1. Crush oreos for the crust
  2. Reserve 1 / 4 to 1 / 2 cup for the top of dessert
  3. Set aside
  4. Combine remaining crumbs and melted butter
  5. Press into the bottom of a 9"x13" cake pan
  6. Set aside
  7. With a mixer
  8. Combine pudding and milk
  9. Mixing well
  10. Fold in cool whip until well blended
  11. Fold in softened ice cream
  12. "add food coloring to perk up the color to a nice pastel green"
  13. Pour pudding mixture onto oreo crust
  14. Sprinkle top with remaining cookie crumbs and freeze
  15. When getting ready to serve
  16. Let it sit in the refrigerator for 1 hour
  17. Or on the counter for 30 minutes
