perfect for any holiday - use the seasonal oreo cookies for this recipe. note: 6 hour cooking time is actually refrigeration time.

  1. Finely crush 24 of the cookies
  2. Mix with butter
  3. Press firmly onto bottom and 1 inch up side of 9-inch springform pan
  4. Set aside
  5. Coarsely chop 24 of the remaining cookies
  6. Set aside
  7. Sprinkle gelatin over milk in large saucepan
  8. Let stand 1 minute
  9. Cook on low heat 3 minutes or until gelatin is completely dissolved
  10. Stirring constantly
  11. Add chocolate chips
  12. Cook until chips are completely melted and mixture is well blended
  13. Stirring frequently
  14. Place saucepan in bowl of ice water
  15. Let stand 8 to 10 minutes or until gelatin mixture is slightly thickened
  16. Stirring frequently
  17. Gently stir in chopped cookies and the whipped cream
  18. Spoon into crust
  19. Refrigerate at least 6 hours
  20. Halve remaining cookies
  21. Arrange on top of cake just before serving
