  1. To make the syrup
  2. Gently boil 4 cups sugar and 4 cups of water for 10 minutes
  3. Pour into a clean container and refrigerate
  4. To mix lemonade
  5. Combine all ingredients
  6. And chill
  7. Add freshly sliced lemon rind
  8. I have also prepared this recipe using"splenda" instead of sugar--it came out a little too sweet for my tastes
  9. So i add extra lemon juice
