thanksgiving's not really about the turkey, it's about the gravy, right? it has to be good and there has to be a lot of it. we figure about 1/2 cup per person, so there's enough to lace the vegetables and stuffing as well as the turkey and mashed potatoes
i came up with this after combining a couple different recipes. use whatever dried mixed fruit you like; i like cranberries, blueberries, raisins, strawberries, etc. goes great with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top. yummy! entered: jun 14, 2005
from my gram to your kitchen! this is the real deal. this chili freezes very well for later use. if using fatty ground beef, the chili can be made in advance and refrigerated in order to lift fat from top before reheating.
this was found on the back of roger's wheat germ, but i have changed the all purpose flour to whole wheat. ds has been going through some testings for celiac and we were told to up his fibre intake. everyone enjoys these very much.
