lemon yogurt cake with lemon glaze


a very moist cake with a lot of lemon flavor. cake is similar to pound cake. a great cake to serve to company.

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350f grease and flour bunt pan
  2. In a large bowl
  3. Beat butter until fluffy
  4. Slowly beat in sugar
  5. Add eggs
  6. One at a time
  7. Add lemon juice and zest
  8. Mix well
  9. In a separate bowl
  10. Combine dry ingredients
  11. Fold in dry ingredients into egg and butter mixture
  12. Mix just until blended
  13. Fold in yogurt last
  14. Bake for 40 minutes or until done
  15. Remove cake from pan and while warm top with a lemon glaze made from 1 cup powdered sugar and the juice of one lemon
  16. If glaze is too thin add a little more powdered sugar
