lemon herb beef pot roast


this is my favorite pot roast recipe.

  • Carbohydrates: 472.6

  1. Combine garlic
  2. Lemon pepper
  3. And 1 teaspoon of basil
  4. Press evenly into surface of beef
  5. In dutch oven
  6. Heat oil over medium-high heat until hot
  7. Brown beef evenly
  8. Pour off drippings
  9. Add 1 cup of water
  10. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low
  11. Cover tightly and simmer 2 hours
  12. Add vegetables
  13. Cover and continue cooking 40 to 45 minutes or until the beef and vegetables are tender
  14. Skim fat from cooking liquid
  15. Stir in cornstarch mixture and 1 / 2 teaspoon basil
  16. Bring to a boil and cook and stir until thickened
  17. Serve sauce with pot roast and vegetables
