Steps

  1. Place the potatoes in a medium saucepan and add enough water to cover
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer until the potatoes are tender
  4. About 20 minutes
  5. Drain
  6. Return the potatoes to the saucepan
  7. Add the broth
  8. Butter
  9. Salt and pepper
  10. Mash until the potatoes are smooth
  11. Stir in the basil
  12. Lemon zest and lemon juice
