  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water
  2. Until firm to the bite
  3. While the pasta is cooking
  4. Place the lemon juice
  5. Zest and mascarpone in a skillet over medium-low heat
  6. Warm gently
  7. Stirring constantly
  8. Until heated through
  9. About 3 to 4 minutes
  10. Add salt and pepper to taste
  11. Drain the pasta
  12. Reserving 1 / 2 cup pasta water
  13. Add the pasta with the basil to the hot sauce
  14. Toss well to coat
  15. Adding reserved water as needed
  16. Serve immediately
