  1. Bring sugar to a boil in a small saucepan
  2. Stirring to dissolve sugar
  3. Remove from heat and add lemon verbena
  4. Cover
  5. And steep for 15 minutes
  6. Strain through a fine sieve
  7. And let cool thoroughly
  8. Combine lemon juice and lemon verbena syrup in a pitcher
  9. Fill glasses with lemon verbena ice
  10. And divide lemonade among glasses
  11. Lemon verbena ice cubes:
  12. Fill 2 ice trays halfway with water
  13. And freeze
  14. Top each cube with a lemon verbena leaf and cover with water
  15. And freeze for up to a week
