Steps

  1. Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan
  2. Bring to a boil
  3. Cook 1 minute or until sugar dissolves
  4. Cool sugar syrup completely
  5. Cook lemon verbena leaves in boiling water 1 minute
  6. Drain and plunge into ice water
  7. Drain
  8. Combine sugar syrup and verbena leaves in a blender
  9. Process until smooth
  10. Cover and chill overnight
  11. Strain sugar syrup through a fine sieve into a bowl
  12. Place 2 / 3 cup ice into each of 6 tall glasses
  13. Add 1 cup brewed tea and 2 tablespoons sugar syrup to each serving
  14. Stirring to combine
  15. Garnish with mint leaves and lemon wedges
  16. If desired
