Steps

  1. In a microwave safe bowl
  2. Combine milk and thyme
  3. Microwave
  4. Uncovered on high 1-2 minutes until bubbly
  5. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes
  6. Cool to room temperature
  7. In a large mixing bowl
  8. Cream butter and sugar
  9. Add eggs
  10. One at a time
  11. Beating baking powder and slat
  12. Add to creamed mixture alternately with reserved milk mixture
  13. Stir in lemmon juice and peel
  14. Pour into a greased 9 in
  15. X 5 in
  16. X 3 inches loaf pan
  17. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minute or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean
  18. Cool for 10 minute before removing from pan to a wire rack
  19. In a small bowl
  20. Combine glaze ingredients until smooth
  21. Drizzle over bread
