Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 425f
  2. Lightly oil a baking sheet
  3. Place the butter pieces and lemon peel in a medium bowl or in food processor
  4. Sift the flour
  5. Sugar
  6. Baking powder
  7. Baking soda
  8. And salt over the butter
  9. By hand or with the food processor
  10. Mix the butter into the flour until evenly distributed
  11. Add the thyme and mix well
  12. Add the buttermilk and stir or pulse briefly
  13. The dough will be soft and a little sticky
  14. On a lightly floured surface
  15. Pat the dough into a 9-inch circle that is about 1 / 2 inch thick
  16. Slice it into six pie-shaped wedges
  17. Place the wedges on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with a little buttermilk
  18. Bake for 20 minutes
  19. Until the biscuits are firm and nice and golden brown
  20. Serve immediately
  21. Enjoy !
