lemon tea cookies


i love tart lemon desserts. this is a recipe i found on betty crocker that looks very good.

  1. In large bowl
  2. Beat butter
  3. 1 / 3 c powdered sugar
  4. And vanilla with mixer on medium speed until well blended
  5. Stir in flour until dough forms
  6. Cover
  7. Refrigerate 30 minutes
  8. Heat oven to 350f shape dough into 1" balls
  9. Place balls 2" apart
  10. Press thumb into center of each ball to make indentation
  11. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown
  12. Remove to cooling racks and cool completely
  13. About 30 minutes
  14. In 1 qt saucepan
  15. Heat all filling ingredients over low heat about 25 minutes
  16. Stirring constantly
  17. Until smooth and thickened
  18. Cool about 15 minutes
  19. Fill each thumbprint with rounded 1 / 4 tsp filling
  20. Sprinkle 1 t powdered sugar over cookies
