Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400f
  2. Combine the sugar and flour
  3. Add lemon juice and rind
  4. Egg yolks
  5. Butter
  6. And salt
  7. Mix well
  8. Stir in milk
  9. Beat the egg whites until firm
  10. Fold into batter
  11. Pour into pie crust
  12. Bake 10 minutes
  13. Reduce temperature to 350f
  14. Bake 30 minutes
  15. Or until pie springs back from light touch
  16. Cool on rack
